Our Second regatta was even better than the first one last year. The weather was perfect and the wind was enough to help us overcome the strong tide. We had three races and we were on time to have a nice barbeque with friends, in front of the Museum of Yachting.We had 11 boats who started and over 35 people who joined in. The picnic was attended by over 50 people and we are so grateful for all those nice ladies who showed up to help with that part of our event.
The regatta was underwritten by a generous donation of Elizabeth Meyer and Sail Newport did a great job in get us off to the boats and back in time.
We had a boat with Systems students as well as two boats from the new coming Restoration program class.
It was great to see the new students mixing up with alumni and the IYRS family was present with from all fronts.
